Tournated Becomes Official Sports Management Partner of the Confederation of African Pickleball
The Confederation of African Pickleball (CAP) and Vertexo, the Latvia-based sports technology company behind Tournated, are proud to announce a strategic partnership that will see Tournated become the official digital platform for CAP’s pickleball tournament and membership management across Africa.
Under the new agreement, Tournated will be tailored specifically to meet CAP's unique operational needs. The customized solution will be fully integrated into CAP’s official website, enabling seamless online registration, license issuance, tournament scheduling, real-time match tracking, and results publication.
This collaboration marks a major milestone in CAP’s mission to promote and grow pickleball throughout the African continent by enhancing its digital infrastructure and streamlining operations for players, clubs, referees, and organizers alike. With this partnership, CAP joins a rapidly expanding network of sports governing bodies across 40+ countries and 10+ sports already powered by Tournated.
CAP will begin adopting the Tournated system starting next week, with the custom platform expected to go live by June 15, 2025, and full adoption targeted for July 1, 2025, across all CAP-sanctioned events, memberships, and tournaments.
“We’re excited to partner with Vertexo and bring their innovative Tournated Custom platform to our expanding pickleball ecosystem,” said Dr. Kwabena Akufo, President of CAP. “This partnership will allow us to deliver more efficient services, better experiences for our athletes and organizers, and ultimately accelerate the growth of pickleball across Africa.”
Nikita Ribakovs, Founder of Tournated, added: “We’re thrilled to support CAP as they build a strong foundation for pickleball in Africa. Our Tournated Custom platform is designed to empower sports organizations with the tools they need to centralize, manage, and grow their operations, and to run their leagues and events efficiently and transparently. We look forward to supporting CAP’s mission with robust, scalable technology.”
CAP is the governing body for pickleball in Africa, registered in Ghana as a limited-by-guarantee corporation, and certified by The Association of African Sports Confederation (AASC-UCSA), the sole organization entrusted with sports governance on the African Continent.
CAP promotes the sport across the continent, organizes public competitions, and supports affiliated federations in developing local pickleball communities.
Tournated is the flagship product of Vertexo, a Latvian software development company specializing in sports management solutions. Built for scalability, flexibility, and monetization, Tournated delivers fully customizable digital tools for managing leagues, tournaments, clubs, and athletes.
